Neat looking game, but the gameplay still needs a lot of polish.

Example 1: I don't get how the wave rating is calculated... I ALWAYS get "D" (which sounds pretty bad if you ask me) and on one wave I got "A+" even though i played exactly the same as any of the other waves.
Example 2: There is no practical way to avoid damage in the later stages when the dodging riflemen start appearing. The fire rate and bullet speed is way to high. the screen is literally filled with bullets.
Example 3: The healing upgrade was pretty useless, since i never had enough potions to even get near 100%. One possible extra potion per wave is pretty is pretty insufficient to compensate for the health drain per wave, which increased with every wave.

I ended up just mashing jump and attack beacause that worked best to get through the stage with minimum health reduction.

The graphics and the general art style is great though!

Overall nice game for what it is.

The only improvements i could suggest would be content wise. Larger areas, more power ups, harder challenges. The game was rather short and pretty easy to beat, so that would be my only "complaint" :)

There are, in my oponion, some general problems, that killed the fun a little.
First, the crossbowmen already start shooting from offscreen... the arrows are way to fast to dodge them at this rate while running when they come flying like that. I like challenge but this is way below the belt.

Another issue fuels the former one even more: The position of the character on screen while running is pretty off. you basically run while only seeing like 33% of whats in front of you but can see 66% of whats behind you. Running into enemies and taking damage is immenent if you don't stop every five steps and shot blindly in front of you.

I'm pretty sure that these issues are design decisions made by you, but i personally don't like them, since it gives the player an unfair disadvantages and a lot of unavaidable damage that makes me rage! :D

Enough rambling, it's still a top tier platformer!

Hi! Yeah, we made these things described above intentionally. If the crossbow man didn't shoot from offscreen you would be able to kill while he's offscreen. We experimented with camera and liked the current set up the most :)

At first it seems like a very cool game, but it gets old way to fast. There's basically little variety in ship design, as it has no advantages to build a small and fast ship. The beginning and midgame can be quite difficult, but the last few galaxies are way too easy.

A little more of everything would make this game superb :)

Really liked it! :) But i wished it was longer and the story a little more complex.

that was a nice and short time spender, but waaaaay too easy. i got three stars on every stage on my first try. Often, I didn't even know what was happening and i still hit every bad guy in the stage, while just shooting wildly. Money comes in very generously, so it's not really a challange to beat the game.

But, well. It seemed bug free and worked pretty well for what it is. You should try and make it more challenging next time :)

Awesome game!!! :) Liked the puzzle balancing. Not too easy, not too hard. But indeed challenging.
The only problem i had was with jumping. Sometimes, my character just didn't jump (while running for example), which often lead to immediate death. Dunno if it's my keyboard, but this problem doesn't occur in any other platformers.

But nontheless a great game!
